Dog Mountain & Leaving Home

Dog Mountain

I am leaving home this afternoon to see a small piece of the Kingdom of Siam, otherwise known as Thailand. Bangkok is said to be the city of angels. I'm looking forward to a short stay in a funky guest house and to taking the Skytrain and the express boat to see the Emerald Buddha.

I'm going to try and post once a week. Bye to Portland and all my friends.

Knock 'em dead! Have tons of fun on your trip. So exciting! Looking forward to reading all about it.

PS My profile still thought I was you, so that's why it says you commented, then deleted. All fixed now.

yeah dorner! i'm so excited you're off and running. i'm looking forward to hearing all about it on your blog and when you get back. take lots of pictures! trust me, you'll remember it better if you have pictures. also, some travel tips learned from my days in South America:
1) if you can't drink the water, make sure your drinks don't have ice! (though they may keep you company, parasites are not your friend)
2) always keep some extra money in your bra AND in your shoe.
3) if necessary, claim you are Canadian.
4) travel with your own toilet paper.

Have a great time and keep in touch!

SO Katie,

What happens if you travel with someone else's toilet paper? :-)

Just wondering you know!
